The EHS Coordinator position will coordinate all EHS program activities at our Salt Lake City Facility.
This individual will promote the EHS culture and values and drive continuous improvement efforts at the facility.
The individual will work collaboratively across functions and provide EHS guidance and support for the location.
Manage and lead the EHS function and associated activities for operating and non-operating personnel at the location.
While working on daily EHS activities to support the site, this individual will also be responsible for executing EHS activities and initiatives per the global EHS strategy.
Essential Job Functions
Assist in developing and enforce the company’s EHS policies at the facility.
Provide and ensure safety orientation for all new employees.
Coordinate and conduct safety trainings as part of the global strategy or as needed for the location.
Perform audits and inspection at the facility to ensure adherence to company policies and local laws and regulations.
Track site performance against EHS key performance indicators.
Analyze data to identify trends in performance; Develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies.
Champion the site’s Safety Committee and advocate for employee engagement.
Identify training needs and deliver training as needed.
Execute global EHS programs and initiatives at the facility level.
Influence/alert management relative to local regulatory compliance issues.
Enable corporate standard compliance and address potential EHS & S implications.
Conduct accident / injury reporting, which includes conducting investigations to identify contributing factors, root cause and appropriate actions to prevent recurrence.
Performs administrative duties related to the EHS function, including, but not limited to completing inspections logs, compiling hazard observations, OSHA 300 forms, etc.
Responsible for region reporting of EHS & S performance.
Identify & implement EHS best practices and continuous improvement opportunities for the facility.
Responsible for the coordination, implementation, tracking and closure of second party audit findings.
Support all capital project requests at the facility from an EHS standpoint.
Skills & Requirements
1-5 years experience in EHS for General Industry
Experience in reporting and developing policies
Experience in implementing safety training programs
Strong communication and advisory skills
Strong computer skills
Strong track record in one or more EHS & S competencies
